The interior design of the apartment in Biskupin borough in Wrocław, 2024
Client: Private
A distinctive feature of the apartment is its impressive height—3.8 meters in the new construction. This exceptional architectural solution provided us with ample creative freedom, which we decided to fully embrace.
The height of the apartment allowed us to design a unique kitchen that reaches up to the ceiling. A large wooden alcove with exposed wood grain and illuminated shelves adds elegance and warmth to the space. The kitchen seamlessly transitions into the hallway, where shelves accessible from the hallway serve not only as an interesting addition but also as a practical solution for storing keys and cookbooks.
The centerpiece of the kitchen is an open island that functions as a table. The induction cooktop, enclosed with powder-coated metal in a dark color, features ventilation in the rear panel, hidden behind perforated openings. The kitchen’s color scheme is in light taupe shades, and the striped materials used for the sofa and bar stools add a distinctive touch to the interior.
The bathroom in our project is a tile-free space. Instead, we used microcement with a subtle texture in beige tones. This sustainable material, made from natural resources like cement and minerals, offers easy cleaning, no grout lines, and a natural appearance. Microcement is not only aesthetic but also eco-friendly, making it ideal for environmentally-conscious individuals.
The shower alcove is further equipped with a steam generator, located in the laundry room. A vent under the bench connects to the steam generator, turning this small space into a sensual spa. Lighting for the alcove is provided by LEDs hidden in the suspended ceiling and on the cosmetic shelf. The entire space features natural materials: a river stone sink, copper faucets, white matte fixtures, and wooden cabinets under the sink and above the toilet. The bathroom is completed with organic mirrors and a lamp made of gilded steel.
